An Experiential DQ Learning Event: Simulation of a Decision-Based Project Maturation

Designed by experienced DQ leaders at Shell Oil, this highly interactive role-play course simulates working through the decision process from project initiation through decision maker dialogue and facilitated trade-off discussions. Competing teams will work an industry agnostic case donated by Decision Frameworks and will receive new information as they progress their project frame and weigh alternatives. Decision Executive guidance will steer the team at key points and the impact of alternatives will be discussed with a Decision Review Board to enable an informed decision. Experienced DQ practitioners participating in the course will share tips and best practices as they work through the case study and facilitate the decision process.

The learning objective is to improve skills by applying Decision Quality to complex business decisions in a simulated environment. The workshop will provide a platform for decision practitioners from different industries and different companies to apply, share & learn best practices to frame and analyze business decision problems. At the end of the event, there will be cross reflection and learning from the experiences of the different teams.
